1st Award at the Biennale of Young Architects – Leonardo 2017!

We are proud to announce that our project Pebble Atrium at Poljane Grammar School in Ljubljana, Slovenia received the Golden Medal in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design at the 7th International Biennial of Young Architects – Leonardo 2017 in Minsk.

The project transforms a former asphalt courtyard into a vibrant, polycentric landscape of pebble-shaped seating islands and interconnecting pathways. Designed for gathering, learning, and school events, the atrium also functions as a fifth façade, visible from surrounding classrooms. Seasonal planting adds rhythm and life to the space, redefining it as a contemporary, interactive environment within a heritage school setting.
