We are thrilled to announce that SVET VMES has been awarded first prize in the Architectural Competition for the New Cultural Centre and Library in Šenčur, organized by the Chamber of Architects and Spatial Planners of Slovenia.
Situated on a modest yet prominent site in the heart of town, the design concept elegantly embraces two compact volumes stacked vertically. The cultural hall forms a fully subterranean base, while the library resides within the sculptural volume of the elevated pitched roof. This thoughtful composition seamlessly extends the public square into the building’s core through the versatile multipurpose hall, creating a dynamic dialogue between interior and exterior public realms.
