We’re delighted to share that we were awarded Third Prize in the open, anonymous, architectural competition for The Extension of III. Maribor Grammar School.
The proposal offers a thoughtful dialogue between past and future, bridging the historic school with a bold new volume that floats above a recessed base housing the gym and service areas. A central atrium brings light and connection throughout, while a sculptural pyramid structure serves as both an amphitheater and an urban gesture. Atop the building, a greenhouse roofscape becomes a flexible learning environment, blending nature and education in a school designed for openness, adaptability, and contemporary pedagogy.
