Jesenice High School and the new gym and workshops are located on a sunny slope in Jesenice’s north, bordered by Cesta železarjev, Delavska ulica, and Ulica Bratov Rupar. The existing building, housing pre-school, nursing, and mechanical engineering, will be preserved, reinforced, and upgraded with larger classrooms to meet size standards.

The project features two connected east–west buildings, freeing the southern plot for a school park. The western building is renovated and reinforced, while a lighter eastern extension called the "fun palace" includes a vertical gym with rooftop classrooms and an indoor gym above workshops, preserving green space.

The new complex features a public ground floor and basement opening south, connected by a two-level auditorium and round staircase linking admin, lockers, dining, library, and workshops. Upper floors house practical programs, with the first floor uniting general subjects. Classrooms include added sub-areas for quiet or project work, opening to a wide corridor with private student niches.

Classrooms are enlarged and transformed into a so-called "classroom +", where smaller sub-ambiences for less formal, project or silent work are lined up along the existing perimeter of the classroom. These sub-ambiances resemble a deep "shop window", opening into a 6‑metre‑wide corridor, an intermediate space that in this way diversifies and offers smaller, more private niches for the pupils.
