"Knafelj's Shelter" is a new drinking fountain and meeting point in Ljubljana. With its unusual form and reflective surface, it mirrors its surroundings and passers-by, reflecting Slovene society. Turned upside down, it offers shelter and drinking water, promoting the idea that water should be accessible to all.

Inspired by Magritte’s painting "Les idees claires", it appears to float above the renovated Slovenska Street, hiding its column and water taps underneath.

The fountain changes with the seasons, offering shade in summer, shelter in spring, and becoming a glowing street lamp in winter. When someone uses the drinking tap, recycled water flows over the top, dripping from the edge, a small surprise that invites curiosity and interaction from both users and passers-by.
