An old cloister, now architecture school.
Six in-between locations. Six yellow tape art interventions.

The 4-day Intensive Student Workshop explored the value of in-between spaces in educational buildings through mini, ad hoc spatial tape art interventions aimed at sparking spatial and small social change. Working across six sites within the old cloister of Sint Lucas Architecture School in Ghent—including the entrance, atrium, main vertical circulation, and hidden corridors—students addressed key questions:
How can tape art make in-between spaces more visible and as hierarchically important as more formal areas, namely classrooms?
Can these interventions seed new in-between behaviors among students and staff?
Might they raise awareness of these interstitial spaces?
Could these tape-art installations inspire future interior or exterior spatial interventions?
